When I first started these weekly videos I knew that there would be times when content would be boring but I promised myself to push through regardless, to find the exceptional in the ordinary and in doubts pull a cake out the bag and take the kids to the cinema. This week was that kind of week, where the most exciting thing that happened was the food that we ate, the drinks that we drank and the movies that we watched.
I took the boys to see Jurassic Park where I got to sleep most of the movie and they finally got to try Icee slushies, not my thing at all if you ask me. In a funny way, they sort of reminded me of eating Smurfs Haribo as an 8 year old. If you ask them, it was “meh” and that made me proud.
In other movie news, we watched Scary Movie, which is one of the most inappropriate kind of movies to watch with your teens I deeply regretted making that choice and to try and erase this from my memories watched the latest Chip and Dale and Sonic. These were equally poor choices…
Otherwise and in no special order, we had sushi that I struggled digesting, we fed our Bubble tea obsession and my friend posted photos of her Portuguese Pasteis de Nata that straight away made me desperate for a Flan Pâtissier (sort of similar and sort of not at all).
The huge problem was that the boys didn’t like it and so I ended up having at breakfast, lunch and dinner for a couple of days, because did I mention that C was in Germany for work for 10 days and that left me pining for Europe… We were all very excited when he finally came back…
So that was our week, hope yours was, at worst, as boring and gentle as ours and at best, freakingly amazing!
